Dear Mr Ravenscroft
Thank you for your recent letter to St Ivel. We were
very pleased to read your comments on St Ivel Cheshire Cheese.
With regards to your query about where we make the
cheese, I would like to point out initially that all our cheeses are
manufactured in Wales, and not in Wiltshire. In addition to this, the term
"Cheshire Cheese" does not describe not the place where the milk (and therefore
the cheese) is derived from, but the process which is used to make the cheese.
In other words, Cheshire is a type of cheese, not the place where it is
manufactured.
I hope this answers your query, and if I can be of any
further assistance, then please do not hesitate to contact me.
Thank you for taking the trouble to write to us; I
have enclosed a voucher which will help you to continue to enjoy St Ivel
products in the future.
Yours Sincerely
